Born in Barbados, photographer Kyle Babb grew up far removed from the world of cameras and production. There, he fell in love with the beautifully layered way of life in the Caribbean, a far cry from its one-dimensional portrayal in popular media as a place often reduced to an escape destination.
Early in his photography career, he started to bridge this gap by telling the true story of "Barbadiana".
Through his lens, he makes space for brands and people to take control of their narrative... capturing them in a nuanced and multi-dimensional way. He sees imagery as a powerful tool to tell the stories of others, earning him the opportunity to tell local stories with clients such as British Vogue, TIME, and Essence.
